I would like to show you how to do it yourself without having to pay that much. i bought this jewelry box at a salvage shop for ten dollars--first way to save money--and it had a gloss on it when I originally got it, so I needed to make sure to go ahead and stand it down. I started with a 100 grit and then I finished it off with 180 grit sandpaper the hardware that came with this jewelry box was really gritty and rusted out, so what I wanted to do was instead of buying new decorative hardware, I just wanted to be able to polish up the old stuff--again, another way to save money.
