What are required form fields? To put it simply, a required form field must contain an answer before the respondent can submit the form. These are fields that absolutely must be answered in order for the form to be useful.
The HTML required Attribute is a Boolean attribute which is used to specify that the input element must be filled out before submitting the Form. This attribute works with other types of input like radio, checkbox, number, text, etc.
Briefly, this error message indicates that a required field is missing from the request. In Elasticsearch, some requests require certain fields to be present in order to perform the requested operation. If a required field is missing, this error will be thrown.
When you make a field required, people must enter an answer to the field in order to submit their entry. When someone tries to submit an entry without filling out a required field, we highlight the problematic fields and display an error message to let them know the field is required.
On the page layout Click on Setup. Go to Quick Find and enter Object. Choose the object. Under the Page Layouts section, Click on Edit on the page layout that you use on the object. Click the wrench icon beside the custom field that you will make required. Select the Required checkbox. Click on Ok, then click on Save.
Information. Body. This error message shows up in a form when an answer for a required form field or question is not provided. A required question means the form owner requires an answer for that question before you can submit the form.
Click the Styling tab. In the Required Fields section, change the Custom Required HTML setting. For example, simply enter Required or if you are familiar with HTML you can enter anything else you wish here.
Input Elements arent Inside Form Tag If the input elements arent inside a form tag then HTML5 required attribute will fail to work. So always put input tags inside a form along with the form encapsulation itself.
