As you know form fields actually cant be used in headers and footers where youre trying to repeat that header if youre trying to use a REF field. Go to Insert Header or Footer. Choose from a list of standard headers or footers, go to the list of Header or Footer options, and select the header or footer that you want. Or, create your own header or footer by selecting Edit Header or Edit Footer. When youre done, select Close Header and Footer or press Esc.
A form or report header appears one time at the top of each form or report. A page footer appears at the bottom of the last page of a form or report.
These areas let form owners insert content that appears on every page of the form, and can include images, text, and some custom HTML. The most common use for the form header is to insert the organizations logo and other branding elements. Other ideas for the form header and footer include: Header: Logo and branding.
In the Navigation Pane, right-click the form or report and then click Design View or Layout View on the shortcut menu. On the Design tab, in the Header/Footer group, click Title. A new label is added to the form or report header, and the form or report name is displayed as the title.
Most often, the form Header contains an organizations logo with any common branding elements. The primary benefit is that the form is guaranteed to display the same content at the top of each page of the form.
Use headers and footers to add a title, date, or page numbers to every page in a document. Select Insert Header or Footer. Select one of the built in designs. Type the text you want in the header or footer.
