Paper recording charts and consumables are used in many applications. Examples include its use in recording data of a given environment, such as refrigeration, air conditioning, storage, transport, and workplace or home monitoring.
a type of paper covered with small squares, for drawing graphs on.
Charts are often used to ease understanding of large quantities of data and the relationships between parts of the data. Charts can usually be read more quickly than the raw data. They are used in a wide variety of fields, and can be created by hand (often on graph paper) or by computer using a charting application.
Fine art papers are usually made in the range of 120gsm to 850gsm. Oriental papers tend to be lighter weight. Drawing papers are more commonly 130gsm weight but the heavier weight Snowdon Cartridge 300gsm is immensely popular. Thicker paper can cope with more erasing and mark making.
The two sides of a chart paper are not same in the texture. If you are planning to draw something, then I will advise to do it on the side which is more rough. This is because, this side has more friction. Smudging is less and also it is easier to draw/write on the side which has more friction.
Card stock, also called cover stock and pasteboard, is paper that is thicker and more durable than normal writing and printing paper, but thinner and more flexible than other forms of paperboard.
The major difference is that, Art paper is rough from 1 side where we can sketch and smooth from another side. Chart paper is smooth from both the sides.
