The \linebreak command tells LaTeX to break the current line at the point of the command. With the optional argument, number, you can convert the \linebreak command from a demand to a request. The number must be a number from 0 to 4.
\newline. The \newline command breaks the line right where it is.
Use the line break operator \\ . It does split the title in the main page, but I want to fit the title in text width as I highlighted in my question.
you could use \linebreak instead of \\ or \newline. But consider to write a non-breaking space by a tilde ~ after the one letter word instead of a manual line break.
If you want phrase breaking, and theres no secondary break concerns, you could use a span class=phrase and control line breaking that way. You could also use one of the pre variants, e.g. pre-wrap, and have a newline where you want a break.

You can use the br tag in HTML to add line breaks. It can go between inline elements to break the elements into multiple parts. The br tag is a void element that doesnt have a closing tag.
Title on 2 lines \documentclass{article} \title{First line of title} \title{Second line of title}\maketitle.
The HTML element produces a line break in text (carriage-return).
The tag inserts a single line break.
