While many still use the old-fashioned method of connecting their Kindle to a computer via USB, this can be time-consuming and inefficient. Dragging and dropping files onto the Kindle can lead to formatting issues.

Yes, it is possible to publish a PDF file as an e-book on Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP). However, it is recommended to convert the PDF file to a Kindle-friendly format such as MOBI or EPUB before uploading it to KDP for better readability and functionality on Kindle devices.
In the Kindle for PC app top menu, select File then Import PDF. From the screen that pops up, find the PDF you wish to upload. Import personal document by selecting Open.
Can Kindle read PDF? The answer is yes. The Kindle can read any kinds of PDF documents natively, that means, without converting them. Moreover, you can read PDF on Kindle very easily, smoothly, and without much hassle.
For the best results, all images should be sized at 100%, flattened to one layer, and inserted into your manuscript file at a minimum resolution of 300 DPI (dots per inch).
File guidelines No Bleed: If your book does not contain bleed, you can upload your manuscript as a PDF, DOC, DOCX, RTF, HTML, or TXT file. KDP will automatically convert these file types to PDF prior to publishing/printing.
On the web, go to Amazons Send to Kindle page. Drag and drop your file to the large square area, or click on Select files from device and choose the file you want to send. (The maximum file size is 200MB.) There will be a list of supported file types on the page including PDF, DOCX, and ePub, among others.
In the Contents Pane, right-click a thumbnail and choose Insert Page(s) from the pop-up menu. The Import from a PDF File dialog box appears. Go to the PDF on your local hard drive, choose the file that contains the pages you want to add, and click Open. The contents of the PDF are added to your eBook.
