in this video Im showing how to resolve an issue where PDF files open with Google Chrome instead of with docHub Reader or Acrobat one of the symptoms of this issue is that instead of having the docHub Reader icon you have this little Google Chrome icon over your PDF files and you can see that inside of Outlook here on this attachment or inside of Windows Explorer here with these PDF files they also have the chrome icon and whenever you actually open up these files you see that they open up inside a Chrome browser here luckily this is a pretty easy problem to fix and all you have to do is close out of any open PDFs you have and then right-click on a PDF that you have saved and hit properties this is the field that we need to change here opens with you can see that its set to Google Chrome just click on change lets select docHub Reader click on OK and then hit apply and what this does is it changes the file associations and windows for any files with the dot PDF extension so that they w

PDF file handling options If you prefer to use another PDF viewer, like docHub, you can change the default PDF viewer. Go to Options Applications, then find the listing for Portable Document Format (PDF). Under the Action column, youll see that its set for Preview in Firefox.
To access the preferences dialog, choose Edit Preferences (Windows) or Acrobat / docHub Reader Preferences (macOS). Note: If you any third-party plug-ins, set these preferences using Third-Party Preferences.
In the Preferences window, click Security, and then click Website Settings next to Internet plug-ins. Select docHub Reader in the list of plug-ins. Under When Visiting Other Websites, in the drop-down list choose Allow Always and click Done. The browser is now set to use the docHub Reader plug-in to display PDFs.
Open Acrobat Reader and select Edit Preferences. Click Internet in the left panel of the Preferences menu and then select Internet Settings. Select the Programs tab. Click Manage Add-Ons and choose Acrobat Reader in the list of add-ons.
That means that the file is still a PDF file, but that Firefox is just the default reader in Windows. You can press the Change button on that window and select Acrobat as the reader and that should set the default reader back to Acrobat.
In the General panel, go down to the Applications section. Find Portable Document Format (PDF) in the list and click on the entry to select it. Click on the arrow under the Action column for the above entry and select the PDF viewer you wish to use from the drop-down menu.
