PDF files are portable documents that are read-only, making them secure for sharing. However, if you forget to remove the password before sharing the document, it can pose a challenge for the recipient. Remove a Password from PDF Login to docHub on desk top. Locate the lock icon, which will open Security Settings. In Security Settings, click Permission Details. A pop-up will appear titled Document Properties. Select No Security. See that the Security Method now states No Security. Success!
Open the PDF in Acrobat, and do one of the following: Go to All tools Protect a PDF. From the Protect a PDF toolset in the left pane, select Encrypt with password. Select File Protect Using Password.

Some suggestions for opening a password-protected PDF file when you have forgotten the password are: Check your email. If someone else sent you the PDF, you can check if they included the password in an email or other form of communication. Contact the sender. Use a password manager.
How to password protect a PDF on Windows 10. Navigate to the Acrobat online password protection page from any browser. Click the Select a file button or drag and drop a PDF into the drop zone. Create and enter a password, then retype it to confirm the password. Click Set Password.
How to remove password from PDF Open the PDF in Acrobat Pro on Windows or Mac. Choose Tools Encrypt Remove Security. If the document has a Document Open password, click OK to remove it. If the document has a permissions password, type the correct password in the Enter Password box and then click OK.
How to unlock a PDF to remove password security: Open the PDF in Acrobat. Use the Unlock tool: Choose Tools Protect Encrypt Remove Security. Remove Security: The options vary depending on the type of password security attached to the document.
