To edit a signed PDF, if you're the only signer you can remove the signature and then work on the document. Alternatively, you can edit the source document to remove your signature. Simply right-click the signature and choose "clear signature."

If you want to make extensive changes to a file signed by someone else or annotate, sign, or convert a locked (read-only) file, your best option to edit a digitally signed PDF is to contact the person who signed it and request the signature to be removed, receive an unsigned copy of the file, or to have them send you
To remove your signature, right-click the signature and then choose Clear Signature. If you got a signed PDF, you can request the signer to remove the signature and share the PDF or send an unsigned copy of the PDF.
Alternatively, you can allow all URLs. Choose Edit Preferences (Windows) or Acrobat/docHub Reader Preferences (Mac OS). From the Categories on the left, select Trust Manager. Click Change Settings to specify the default behavior for accessing the Internet from PDFs.
How to remove password from PDF Open the PDF in Acrobat Pro on Windows or Mac. Choose Tools Encrypt Remove Security. If the document has a Document Open password, click OK to remove it. If the document has a permissions password, type the correct password in the Enter Password box and then click OK.
How to copy text from a secured PDF Click File on the top toolbar and find Properties. Click the Security tab. Use the drop-down menu to choose No Security. Enter the password and click OK. Press OK again. Save the document to remove the security password.
Remove password security Open the PDF in Acrobat. From the All tools menu, select Protect a PDF. From the left panel, select Remove security. Your options vary depending on the type of password security attached to the document: If the document has a Document Open password, select OK to remove it from the document.
Open the PDF. Click the Lock icon in the upper-left corner of the page. Click the link labeled: Permission Details. In the Security Method drop down, select: No Security.
How to add passwords and permissions to PDF files: Open a file in Acrobat and choose Tools Protect. Select whether you want to restrict editing with a password or encrypt the file with a certificate or password. Set password or security method as desired. Click OK and then click Save.
Download this new copy of the PDF and open it. Select the Lock icon on the top-left corner and select the label Permission Details. Continue into the Security Method drop-down and change it to No Security. Provide the password and select OK to verify the removal of the encryption password.
