[Music] hi there my name is richard malligan and im a systems engineer at data jar and welcome to this session so this session is on unified login so if youre new to unified login hopefully this would be a good kind of instruction to it or if you use it in the past hopefully itd be a nice refresher so for any apple admin this is a really good tool to um kind of utilize for troubleshooting so for this session im going to look at kind of a couple aspects of it so were going to have an introduction to unified login so were going to things like log levels um subsystems and categories and then specifically the log command because the log command is where you get the full power of unified login its where you can go down and drill for your historical log files and try and get the information youre interested in and in relation to that youve got things called predicates and predicates will allow you to filter to perform searches within your logs so to start off with um it would take
