Answer. Yes. If you have multiple Zendesk accounts, you can add individual TXT records to your DNS server for each account that uses the same email domain. Add a TXT record to your DNS server for each account you manage.
Dont use multiple SPF records! This is explicitly defined in RFC4408: A domain name MUST NOT have multiple records that would cause an authorization check to select more than one record. The rule of thumb: multiple SPF records will fail the SPF authentication.
TXT records are a type of Domain Name System (DNS) record in text format, which contain information about your domain. TXT records also have information that helps external network servers and services handle outgoing email from your domain.
Answer. Yes. If you have multiple Zendesk accounts, you can add individual TXT records to your DNS server for each account that uses the same email domain. Add a TXT record to your DNS server for each account you manage.
To merge the SPF values, simply include all the parts into one single record, without repeating any mechanisms. This means that if both records have an a , it should only be included once at the beginning in the default record. If only one of the records includes an mx , it should also be included in the first part.
Step by step create a TXT record inside the zone file: Login to your DNS server as administrator. Launch the DNS Management Console. On DNS Manager window, expand your DNS name. Right click on your domain name and select Other New Records to add a new TXT record.
To reduce the number of DNS lookups, you have to replace the elements causing additional DNS lookups (a, mx, ptr, exists, redirect and include), with the elements not causing any lookup (ip4 and ip6). That process is also called SPF flattening.
Can You Have More than 1 SPF Record? No, you cant have more than 1 SPF record. If you do have two separate SPF TXT record entries, your emails will fail SPF authentication and return a PermError. If you have multiple SPF records, the simple fix is to merge these entries into a single record.
