were in Windows Server 8 Im going to show you how to remove a role or a feature so in server 8 were going to make sure that we have open the server manager which you can find right in the taskbar once this is open you can see add roles add other servers to manage or create a server group but you dont see the option to remove any of that so what you want to do is go up to the top and click on manage and click removals and features and this is where you can start removing some of those that you no longer want so here is the server thats local and we can go ahead and choose the one role that weve added which is action directory domain Services now this is not a domain controller so we havent gotten that far yet and well go ahead and we can uncheck anything else that we want as well under features this is now part of the same menu rather than a separate option so when you go from roles you go right to Features after that then you go ahead and click next and then you can click remov
