Expert-Verified Answer The undo function is used to reverse a mistake, such as deleting the wrong word in a sentence. The redo function restores any actions that were previously undone using an undo.
To reverse your last action, press CTRL+Z. You can reverse more than one action. To reverse your last Undo, press CTRL+Y.
The command used as a repeat typing tool is b. Redo. The Redo command is used to repeat the last action that was undone. The command redo is typically accessed through the Edit menu or by using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Y (or Command+Y on a Mac).
To redo something youve undone, press Ctrl+Y or F4.
To undo an action press Ctrl+Z on your keyboard, or select Undo on the Quick Access Toolbar. You can press Undo (or Ctrl+Z) repeatedly if you want to undo multiple steps.
Redo Select Redo or press Ctrl + Y. To redo more than one action, select Redo several times.
Ctrl Z is the keyboard shortcut for undo, which allows you to reverse the last action you performed. Ctrl Y, on the other hand, is the keyboard shortcut for redo, which allows you to reapply the last action you performed after using Ctrl Z to undo it.
The undo button is commonly styled as an arrow going back on itself. If youve ever taken a wrong turn at an intersection, the first reaction would be to do a U-turn and go back to the intersection to try again. The redo button would presumably be styled as just the opposite of undo. It basically is a U-turn button.
To redo something youve undone, press Ctrl+Y or F4. (If F4 doesnt seem to work, you may need to press the F-Lock key or Fn Key, then F4) on your keyboard, or select Redo on the Quick Access toolbar.
Ctrl+Z (or Command+Z on a Mac) is a common keyboard shortcut for Undo.
