hi welcome to Tuts plus my name is Bob Blitzer and I want to show you an essential feature of Microsoft PowerPoint that many people overlook and that is how to use master slides when you want to give an overall format to a PowerPoint presentation dont apply the formatting to every slide individually because not only is that time-consuming but its very easy to be inconsistent maybe you apply a font of say size fourteen on one slide and maybe then you slip and apply size 13 on another slide and once you do that what happens if you change your mind maybe you want to change a color or font then you have to go through the entire presentation making changes to individual slides that just compounds the problem now you might know that in the Windows version of PowerPoint you can go to the design tab or on the Mac version you could go to the themes tab and apply one of these themes and thats great but what if you want to make some changes later on or maybe you dont want to use these themes

Change the default font in PowerPoint Click View Slide Master. On the Slide Master tab, click the Fonts drop-down menu. Select the font you want to use for all the slides in the presentation. Click Close Master View. The text throughout your presentation is automatically updated to the new font.
You can select formatted text in your document to create a new style that you add to the Styles gallery.
Make text appear one line at a time On the slide, select the box that contains your text. Select the Animations tab, and then pick an animation, such as Appear, Fade In, or Fly In. Select Effect Options, and then select By Paragraph to make the paragraphs of text appear one at a time.

On the Home tab, in the Editing group, select Replace and then select Replace Fonts. In the Replace Font dialog box, in the Replace field, select the font that you want to replace. In the With field, select the font that you want to use, select Replace, and then select Close.
First, click on the DESIGN tab. Then, as seen circled in the screenshot below on the right side of the ribbon, click on the More button under Variants. Select Fonts and scroll down the list of available font types to find the one you prefer.
How to Make Text Appear on Click in PowerPoint First, type the text you want it to appear and select it. Go to Animations and select the animation style you want. Still under the Animations menu, make sure that the animation starts with the On Click command.
