Youll have access to e-signature tools and be able to track the edits made to your PDF. When youve finished making your edits, you can download your file or share a link, which will let others see the edits online. Simplify the revision process using Acrobats online editing tool.
Turn on tracking: Choose Edit Track Changes (from the Edit menu at the top of your screen). If the review toolbar is showing above your document, you can also click Track Changes in the toolbar. , then choose Turn Off Tracking. You must either accept or reject all changes before you can turn tracking off.
How to redline a PDF. Upload your PDF to Acrobat. Choose Tools Comment to view the toolbar. Click the Strikethrough option, then select red for the color. Drag from the beginning of the text you want to mark up. Press Control and drag to mark up a rectangular area of text.

Enabling the track changes feature Once the PDF document is open, you need to enable the track changes feature. This feature might be located in different menus depending on the software you are using. Look for options like Review or Comments to access the track changes functionality.
Word track changes marks are removed when converting to PDF.
If you go to the document properties of a PDF file (control or command d), if the proper metadata is available, it will list the creation date and time and modified date and time. This can help you determine if a pdf file has been modified since creation. However, it is not foolproof. This metadata is not secured.
You can also create individual tracking links and receive email notifications when a lead opens the document, when they print or download the PDF (if allowed), or if they havent opened the link by a set date. Use them to track your documents across different marketing channels, or to target prospects and close sales.
