When working in Pages its important to understand both page break and section breaks. Here I have a blank word processing document in Pages. These things only really apply to word processing documents, not page layout documents like brochures and flyers and things like that. So I have a blank document here and I can insert some text. Let me just type the word one here on the first page. I can insert any other text that I want. Some blank lines, anything. Now here under Insert I have both Page Break and Section Break. So page break is pretty simple. You insert that and it jumps to the next page. Basically what youre saying is after this point everything is going to start on the very next page. It will always clear to the next page. So I have this stuff on page one and this on page two. Now I have View, and Show Page Thumbnails turned on. I have also shrunk it a bit here by dragging the divider. So you can see clearly Ive got page one and page two. In page two here, let me type the w

Click Tools Options. See the first screenshot below: 2. In the Options dialog box, please click the View tab, and then check All option in Formatting marks group to show section breaks in document.
Show section breaks Go to Home Show/Hide . The section breaks that youve added will start and end with something similar to this:
Insert a page break Put your cursor where you want one page to end and the next to begin. Go to Insert Page Break.
Insert a break: Choose Edit Insert, then choose Line Break, Paragraph Break, or Page Break.
Delete a blank page Press Ctrl+Shift+8 (⌘+8 on a Mac) to show paragraph marks. Select the paragraph mark. Select inside the Font size box, type 01, and then press Enter . The paragraph now fits on the preceding page, removing the unwanted blank page. Press Ctrl+Shift+8 again to hide the paragraph marks (⌘+8 on a Mac).
Go to Layout Breaks Page. Click or tap in the document where you want a page break. Go to Insert Page Break.
Select Home Show/Hide . This will display non-printing charactersparagraph markers, section breaks, page breaks, etc. that you may want to see while youre working on your document. Double-click the page break so that its selected, and then press Delete.
To insert a section break: Place the insertion point where you want to create the break. On the Page Layout tab, click the Breaks command, then select the desired section break from the drop-down menu. A section break will appear in the document.
Click. in the toolbar, then in the Basic category, click a line. Options include a straight line with or without endpoints, or a line with editing points to create a curved line.
Open your Word document. Go to Home Click the Show/Hide button to display all non-printable hidden marks like page breaks, spaces, and non-breaking spaces in the document. Double-click to select a page break and press Delete to remove it.
