Can I delete my TurboTax return and start over?

Sign in to TurboTax and open or continue your return, if you havent already. Select Tax Tools from the left menu, then Clear Start Over. Answer Yes to confirm.

How do I delete my income tax e filing account?

You may also request that your account be disabled. To disable your account start by logging into your account here. Once youve logged in, click the Help Support link in the top right corner of the page. From the help window, you can type something brief like disable account, this will load common help answers.

Can I cancel my tax return and do it again?

No. You cant cancel the return after it has been e-filed. If you need to change any information in the return, you can only make changes to your return if the IRS rejects it. If the IRS accepts your return, you must use Form 1040-X to file an amended return to fix the mistake.

Can I download a copy of my tax return?

Online. People can use Get Transcript Online to view, print or download a copy of all transcript types. They must verify their identity using the Secure Access process.

Can I file my taxes with a PDF?

Some return types require that you attach supporting documents as PDF files when you electronically file a return. You can attach the PDF files using the Federal General Electronic Filing worksheet. The PDF files are embedded in the return so that you can view them any time you access the return.

Can I delete my tax return and start again?

If your account has an e-filed return, whether it was rejected or accepted, the account cannot be deleted. Accounts that have prior year accepted or rejected e-filed returns also cannot be deleted. The IRS requires we retain this information for a period of 3 years after the tax filing year.
