The content or text of a tag is coded immediately following the start tag. This is the actual text that is subject to formatting and translation. The text is processed ing to the type of tag it follows.
There are four required tags in HTML. These are html, title, head and body. The table below shows you the opening and closing tag, a description and an example.

An HTML tag is a special word or letter surrounded by angle brackets, and . You use tags to create HTML elements , such as paragraphs or links. Many elements have an opening tag and a closing tag for example, a p (paragraph) element has a tag, followed by the paragraph text, followed by a closing tag.
Tags and text are written inside the head tags, these define the data i.e. inside the head tags we write data about the input.
HTML Tag The tag tells the browser, that its content must be displayed as an ordinary text without formatting. All the nested tags in this element are rendered by the browser as a part of the text. The content of the tag is represented in monospaced font.
The tag defines a hyperlink, which is used to link from one page to another. The most important attribute of the element is the href attribute, which indicates the links destination. By default, links will appear as follows in all browsers: An unvisited link is underlined and blue.
The HTML tags can also be simply divided based on basic categories like Basic HTML Root Tags, Formatting tags, Audio and Video Tags, Form and Input Tags, Frame Tags, Link Tags, List Tags, Table Tags, Style Tags, Meta Tags, etc.
To create a Message Tag: Go to the Message Tags section under the Settings menu. Click the New Tag button. Enter the name of the Tag you want to create. Click Add Tag.
Basically, there are two methods for displaying HTML tags as plain text. Using element: Plaintext element is deprecated which means this feature is no longer supported. HTML entities: The second and only option available is using html entities. ,
