hello there this is Elson Correia with before semi-colon and in this video Im going to quickly explain when to use section article and div tags when structuring your HTML page. As you might know these tags are used to group content together the session and article have different requirements than div. One thing that tells me that I should pick between section and article is the heading flag meaning if the content and Im grouping has a title. Another flag is how these contacts make sense together for example if I have a title that is being described by the paragraph and emphasized with the video or image it means that they belong together and different in section article has one more requirement and its simply that the content is a stand alone content. This means that whatever I put inside an article tag should make sense regardless of the rest of the content of the site or the site itself. When it comes to div if nothing is raising the flags I just spoke of that means you can use a

A heading is a short phrase describing what the succeeding section is all about. You can think of it as the title of that particular section. Short documents usually do not require the use of headings.
The tag in HTML is used to define the header for a document or a section as it contains the information related to the title and heading of the related content. The element is intended to usually contain the sections heading (an h1-h6 element or an element), but this is not required.
Headings are signposts that help you structure longer pieces of writing and allow the reader easily navigate their way around a document. The type of headings used will depend on the format of your writing: for example, a case study will have different headings to a report.
The HTML element represents introductory content, typically a group of introductory or navigational aids. It may contain some heading elements but also a logo, a search form, an author name, and other elements.
An H1 tag is the first and most important heading tag in the structural hierarchy of a page or post. It typically notes the page or posts title. Dont make the mistake of using header tags as nothing more than stylistic elements.
Although heading and titles are similar, they are distinct: A title leads the entire document and captures its content in one or two phrases; a heading leads only a chapter or section and captures only the content of that chapter or section. Read more in our article on writing good titles in academic writing.
The tag specifies independent, self-contained content. An article should make sense on its own and it should be possible to distribute it independently from the rest of the site. Potential sources for the element: Forum post.
ing to the MLA (the Modern Language Association), each page of an essay, including the first page, should include the writers last name and the page number inserted as a header in the upper right corner of the page, as illustrated below: The header should not be typed where the text of your papers should be.
Header tags, also known as heading tags, are used to separate headings and subheadings on a webpage. They rank in order of importance, from H1 to H6, with H1s usually being the title. Header tags improve the readability and SEO of a webpage.
Headlines should be clear and specific, telling the reader what the story is about, and be interesting enough to draw them into reading the article. 5-10 words at the most. should be accurate and specific. Use present tense and active verbs, but dont start with a verb. Use infinitive form of verb for future actions.
