Simply select a cell in a data range select the Analyze Data button on the Home tab. Analyze Data in Excel will analyze your data, and return interesting visuals about it in a task pane.
To see all of the fields available, click the geography icon ( ) or select the cell and press Ctrl+Shift+F5. If you see. instead of an icon, then Excel is having a hard time matching your text with data in our online sources.
To get started enter cities, states, provinces, countries, or ZIP codes. Then go to the Data ribbon and select the Geography button. Excel will convert the text to a geography data type.
