hey everybody hows it going whats that you want to know how to import a CSV or an ASCII text file full of points into civil3d well youre in luck because thats what were talking about today okay first thing Im going to do is Im going to go into the Settings tab go to the points section and check out the point file formats because I need a format in here thats going to match the format of my ascii text file so youll need to open this up and check this out ive got point number northing easting elevation and description it looks like and I might be able to find one in here but if you checked out the last segment which was point file formats we would have already made a point file format and we call that one Ricks point file format so in that one weve got it mapped out so that its called a comma delimited theres my delimiter point and what my all my columns represent so we set that up check out the previous segment once youve got that set up its good to give it a quick load
