okay Im gonna quickly show you how to add page numbers when youre printing in Excel super easy to do normally gone your Home tab here Im just gonna go to the page Layout tab and pick print titles then Im gonna go to this header and footer section and then I can quickly add them just here from this drop-down box to page one a blank for example I could put it at the top here to the page one a blank in there itll show up its both the top e at the bottom if you wanted that for some reason more likely youre only gonna want it one place lets get rid of it here leave this none you can also if you want to move it over to the left or the right you can instead do a custom footer and already inserted my code here so lets just put this paste it here and to the right section tell it okay now when we go to our preview you can see my page numbers down here at the bottom

It looks like a watermark, but dont worry -- that text wont appear on your printed worksheet. That Page 1 is a sign that you are in Page Break Preview, instead of Excels Normal view or Page Layout view.
Click Insert on the menu bar. Select Header page number. Select Page number. Next, choose where you want the page number to appear.
How to Delete Excel Page Numbers Open your spreadsheet. Select the Page Layout tab. Click the Page Setup button. Choose the Header/Footer tab. Click the Header drop down and choose the None option, then repeat with the Footer drop down. Click OK to apply your changes.
To add a footer, scroll to the bottom of the page, select the section of the footer you want to add something to. On the Design tab, click an element, such as Page Number, click anywhere else on the worksheet, and page numbers now display in the footer.
At the top of the page, before the first line/word, click on the document to place your curser. Then choose Page Layout from the top menu. Next select Breaks - Next Page. Now choose Insert from the top menu and then select Page Numbers and then choose how you want them to appear in the document.
Delete a page break Select the worksheet that you want to modify. On the View tab, in the Workbook Views group, click Page Break Preview. You can also click Page Break Preview. Do one of the following: On the Page Layout tab, in the Page Setup group, click Breaks. Click Remove Page Break.
Click the worksheet that is displayed with a sheet background. Make sure that only one worksheet is selected. On the Page Layout tab, in the Page Setup group, click Delete Background. Delete Background is available only when a worksheet has a sheet background.
