let me show you how to apply a comic drawing effect for photos in photoshop start by duplicating the layer twice work with the bottom layer first to create the linework go into filter and filter gallery from the artistic section select poster edges adjust your edge thickness and press ok then go into image adjustments and threshold adjust the slider to determine how the linework will look to give the image a hand painted effect go into filter stylize and oil paint disable the lighting and adjust the sliders ingly next work on the color enable the top layer and set it to multiply then apply the poster edges filter again but this time set the edge intensity to zero to remove the black lines and adjust the posterization if need be and run the oil paint filter again with the previous settings to give this layer a hand painted look
