EXIF (Exchangeable Image File Format) files store important data about photographs. Almost all digital cameras create these data files each time you snap a new picture. An EXIF file holds all the information about the image itself such as the exposure level, where you took the photo, and any settings you used.
Every digital photo has data about it included in the image file. This is what we call EXIF data. This information can show you the camera settings you used to take a specific photo.
On a Windows PC using File Explorer right-click on the file you want to see the data for. You will see a window pop up with various options. Click on Properties and then on Details. This will bring up the EXIF data for that photo.
How to view edit PNG metadata Open this GroupDocs. Click inside the file drop area to upload a PNG file or drag drop a PNG file. Your file will be rendered for you in our metadata editor. View update PNG metadata properties. Click on Save then on Download button to download the updated PNG file.
How to make your iPad use JPEG instead of HEIC: Go to Settings on the iPad. Scroll down, tap the Camera section and youre brought to another menu of options. Navigate to Formats, where youll see two options under Camera Capture. Select Most Compatible.
File menu Item Export To. Image. JPEG.
Apple iPhones save photos in the HEIF format i.e, a high-efficiency image file. Though it is similar to the more popular JPG, if you need to use the photo on a website, open it on your PC, or share it with someone who doesnt have an iPhone, you will need a JPEG file.
The PNG standard does not contain Exif data. Please see this: stackoverflow.com/questions/9542359/
A JPEG file also has a lot of metadata in each file containing auxiliary information about the image. On an average, this kind of metadata occupies 16% of size of the JPEG file.
Right-click on the image and select Properties In the window that appears, you can change the file name, add tags, write a description, etc.
