today Im going to show you one method you can use to turn ordinary computer paper into what looks like a really old document this can be really useful if you want to make like an old letter or a treasure map or something like that so lets get started were going to start with some inexpensive instant coffee and your run-of-the-mill white computer paper first pre-heat your oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit then were going to need six ounces of hot water were going to microwave that to heat it up and when its done we can pour in the instant coffee were going to start with just one packet of coffee stir it up until theres no more crystals set one sheet of paper on a cookie sheet now were going to use a paper towel or a brush to essentially paint the paper doesnt need to be soaking wet but you want to make sure the whole thing is covered it helps to push out some of the bubbles now were going to throw it in the oven and set the timer for about 15 minutes make sure you keep an eye o

Bake 5 minutes at 225 degrees and then flip over, baking another 3-4 minutes on the other side until paper is dry and crisp. If paper is not to your desired darkness, re-dip and re-dry for an even darker shade. When sheets are finished, roll up and burn edges slightly.
An no-bake method achieves similar results without the use of an oven. Place the paper for antiquing flat in the baking sheet. Paint the paper evenly with coffee. Sprinkle instant coffee over the paper. Leave the instant coffee in place for about three minutes. Use paper towels to soak up excess liquid on the paper.

Uncrumple the paper and spritz it with water, tea or coffee. Note that the liquid you use will give the paper a different look. Water wont color the paper, but will enable further alterations. Tea will give a slight brown color, while coffee will give the sheet a darker color.
