someone was going to record the talk i dont know anyway im just going to start so hi everyone my name is astra and im a software engineer at google on the google open source security team um and im here with my co-presenter laurent im also in the same team in the google open source security team and today were going to be talking about authenticating supply chain metadata and how to build remote code attestations on github so this is going to be a fairly general talk i know all day youve been listening to providence and out of stations and that sort of thing all day so ill hopefully try to keep it a little bit new so to go over what im going to talk about today first im going to just introduce the problem space a little bit with some motivating software supply chain attacks as motivating exploits and then ill talk a little bit about what general remote code attestations are and the way that were going to be thinking of them and then go through two ways that you can achieve
