When you have your text selected, look on the Home tab of Words Ribbon. In the Font group, click the Strikethrough button (its the three letters with a line drawn through them). Now, any text you had selected should be struck through. You can also apply strikethrough formatting using the Font window.
Word places text on a baseline. If you want to place text higher than the baseline, use the Superscript button. If you want to place text lower than the baseline, use the Subscript button. If you want to strike through text, use the Strikethrough button.
To change the formatting of the footnote numbers, select the Footnotes Reference Style. If you want to change the formatting of the footnote text at the bottom of the page, select the Footnote Text Style. Click Modify, and then change the formatting options (font, size, and so on).
Is there a Word strikethrough shortcut? Select the text you want to strike through. Press Ctrl+D. A font dialog box will appear. Press Alt+K. The strikethrough feature should now be selected. Press OK. The text will now have a line through it.
