Open Google Docs on your computer. Go to the document you want to edit or open a new document. Highlight the text that needs a strike-through and press Alt, Shift and 5 together. Once you press the shortcut, Docs automatically strikes through the selected text.
Is there a Word strikethrough shortcut? Select the text you want to strike through. Press Ctrl+D. A font dialog box will appear. Press Alt+K. The strikethrough feature should now be selected. Press OK. The text will now have a line through it.
To undo strikethrough, you can go through the same process as above. Therefore, highlight the strikethrough text and press the strikethrough keyboard shortcut or use the strikethrough option in the menu. This will remove the strikethrough from that specific text.
The strikethrough function is accessible through the Format tab of Google Docs in its desktop version. You can add a strikethrough to text in the Google Docs mobile app through the Font toolbar option.
