Hi. Lee Phillips. I want to talk about where people keep their legal documents the important stuff You stuff it in a safe deposit box, right? Wrong. The problem is the kids, you cant get into the safe deposit box. I actually had a safe deposit box. Kristy and I put a bunch of stuff in it 40 years ago. and we found the keys I didnt even know he had a safe deposit box. and trust me when you die the family isnt going to know theres a safe deposit box and they may not be able to get into it. So the documents--I dont know I dont think you want them there. When I do a living revocable trust, and a will, and that sort of stuff for people I, as the lawyer, always keep a file with an originally signed document in it.
