in this video youll see how to use aws cloud formation stack failure options with this feature you can preserve the state of provisioned resources accelerate development through faster iteration and flexibly debug your stack operations to get started lets navigate to cloudformation and create a new stack well upload a template file lets upload the s3 failed file lets give the stack a name and proceed instead of retaining the default option to roll back all resources after a stack failure well preserve the resources that were successfully provisioned and only roll back the failed ones lets review the settings and create the stack while the stack is being created lets take a look at the template code notice that this template gives an invalid status of disabled the only valid status options are enabled and suspended from this we know the template produces a stack error lets view the stack events to confirm that an error was produced as expected a failure resulted from the error

In simplest terms, a stack is a unit of application deployment. Using stacks, developers can organize all of the resources required by an application or an application component as a single unit. This enables devs to deploy, tear down, and re-deploy their applications at will.
The unit of deployment in the AWS CDK is called a stack. All AWS resources defined within the scope of a stack, either directly or indirectly, are provisioned as a single unit. Because AWS CDK stacks are implemented through AWS CloudFormation stacks, they have the same limitations as in AWS CloudFormation.
You use the AWS Management Console to complete these tasks. Step 1: Pick a template. Step 2: Make sure you have prepared any required items for the stack. Step 3: Create the stack. Step 4: Monitor the progress of stack creation. Step 5: Use your stack resources. Step 6: Clean up.
