A stacked chart is a form of bar chart that shows the composition and comparison of a few variables, either relative or absolute, over time. Also called a stacked bar or column chart, they look like a series of columns or bars that are stacked on top of each other.
The method used to add the totals to the top of each column is to add an extra data series with the totals as the values. Change the graph type of this series to a line graph. Set the line to no color and add data labels of the values above each data point. This positions the totals above the segments in the column.
HOW TO ADD LABELS TO SHOW TOTALS IN STACKED COLUMN CHARTS IN While the chart is selected, click the Change Chart Type icon in the Type group under the Chart Design tab. In the chart, right-click the Total series and then, on the shortcut menu, select Add Data Labels. Lets do some formatting.
Go to the All marks card. Click on the drop-down and select Bar. Now The Total Label has Been Added to the Stacked Bar Chart.
Right-click the category labels you want to change, and click Select Data. In the Horizontal (Category) Axis Labels box, click Edit. In the Axis label range box, enter the labels you want to use, separated by commas.
How To Create A Stacked Column Chart in Excel Select the data that you want to be presented through the chart. Once you have toggled to the Insert Chart, go to All Charts. Choose the option for a stacked column chart where different items appear to be stacked over another.
Add total labels to stacked column chart with an amazing tool Create the stacked column chart. Select the stacked column chart, and click Kutools Charts Chart Tools Add Sum Labels to Chart. Then all total labels are added to every data point in the stacked column chart immediately.
They must contain the following information: A title explaining what the bar chart means. Labels that tell you what each bar means. This could be a key or just a label underneath the line that runs along the bottom of the bar graph (the horizontal axis).
