- [Voiceover] What were going to do in this video is a little bit of a deep dive on transcription. And just as a bit of a review, we touch on it on the video on replication, transcription and translation. Transcription in everyday language just means to rewrite something or to rewrite some information in another form. And thats essentially whats happening here. Transcription is when we take the information encoded in the gene in DNA and encode essentially that same information in mRNA. So transcription we are going from DNA to messenger RNA, and were gonna, in this video, focus on genes that code for proteins. So this first step is the transcription, the DNA to messenger RNA, and then in a future video well dig a little bit deeper into translation. We will translate that information into an actual protein. But these diagrams give a little bit of an overview of it. Its a little bit simpler in bacteria. You have the DNA just floating around in the cytosol, and so the transcription

Producer and director M. Night Shyamalan and producers Marc Bienstock and Jason Blums (2016) latest film, Split, is a horror thriller where the main character Kevin, played by James McAvoy, suffers from dissociative identity disorder (DID) and kidnaps three teenage girls.
Hedwig who seems to be a boy, but has a girls name has a cute habit of dropping the phrase et cetera in conversation. Its an amusing tic that underscores the multifariousness of Kevins shattered psyche, while at the same time calling attention to Shyamalans writerly affectations and inadequacies.
Only through pain can you achieve your greatness! The impure are the untouched, the unburned, the unslain. Those who have not been torn have no value in themselves and no place in this world!
Split is a 2016 American psychological thriller film written, directed and produced by M. Night Shyamalan, and starring James McAvoy, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Betty Buckley. The film follows a man with dissociative identity disorder who kidnaps and imprisons three teenage girls in an isolated underground facility.
As a young girl, Casey is sexually abused by her uncle John (Brad William Henke). Flashbacks of hunting with her father (Sebastian Arcelus) show that she has a strong connection to him.
Kevin Wendell Crumb, a man struggling with dissociative identity disorder (DID) rooted in his history of childhood abuse and abandonment, has been managing living with his 23 distinct personalities well for several years with help from his therapist, Dr. Karen Fletcher.
On January 20, 2017, the new psychological thriller Split hit theaters. The movie centers on Kevin Wendell Crumb (James McAvoy), a man with 23 different personalities. His psychiatrist, Dr. Karen Fletcher, states that he was diagnosed with what is called dissociative identity disorder (DID).
At the very end of Split, after the main story involving James McAvoys superhuman character, we cut to a diner where Bruce Willis character from Unbreakable, David Dunn, is eating. It was a Shyamalan shared universe the whole time!
And in the present of the ending, Dennis/the Beasts thinking is crystallized because they chose the other two girls to be food; they were impure due to the fact that they never suffered in life. Their untroubled childhoods and happiness were why he stalked and ultimately killed them.
