So Excel got this great new function called TEXTSPLIT. It takes care of a problem that weve all been having for years, thats split text. Especially if it has multiple spaces, or it has multiple commas, or a mix of different delimiters. So, the more splitting you needed, the bigger your problem became, and actually the bigger your formula ended up being. Thats all over now because TEXTSPLIT takes care of it all. You can even combine it with other functions to make Excel do stuff that we could never do before. I guess we just want to see it, right? So lets get to it. Lets start with the basics. So here, Im collecting different skills from different people, and everything is in a single cell. I want it split into multiple cells. No problem for TEXTSPLIT. Im just going to start typing TEXTSPLIT, its right here. I need my text, which is this one, and then I have to define my delimiter, based on what I want to split these. Well, in this case, its a comm

Split Rent 50/50 The obvious way to split rent is for each partner to pay exactly half of the bill each month. This can keep it simple, with each person having an even share in housing costs. For example, if you find an apartment that costs $1,800 per month, each partner would contribute $900.
If an apartment with two rooms is rented to three people (with two sharing one room, the other remaining single occupancy), rent can be split 50/50 between the roommates sharing a room, while each of the three housemates pays an equal sum for the common areas. Common area is assigned a value (lets say $300).
Each person residing in a bedroom will need to cover the rent for that space. For example, lets consider an apartment with four bedrooms and four individual renters occupying a separate room each. If the rent for your unit is $4,000 a month, each renter would be responsible for paying $1,000 in rent each month.
Dividing Rent Evenly If all rooms are relatively similar in size and have the same amenities, splitting rent evenly is the best method. You just divide the rent by the number of roommates and youre done.
Rent split by space This will include bathrooms and bedrooms, but not common spaces like the living room and kitchen. Divide each persons individual space by the total square footage of private space and pay the same percentage of rent as space you occupy.
Factors of 900 in Pairs There are 27 factors of 900 : (1, 900), (2, 450), (3, 300), (4, 225), (5, 180), (6, 150), (9, 100), (10, 90), (12, 75), (15, 60), (18, 50), (20, 45), (25, 36), and (30, 30).
Each roommate should pay the same percentage of the rent as they have personal space. If one roommate has 50% of the private space and two other roommates have 25% each, divide rent by the same amount (or rearrange how much space each roommate has access to).
Generally, the threshold is that if there is a noticeable difference in size to the naked eye, it is typically expected and fair for one roommate to pay about 2 to 7 percent more, depending on the size difference.
