if you have a file with dates and times in the same cell well see two quick ways that you can separate that into date and time columns the first one will use a formula so in here Im going to click and type an equal sign well use the int function which is for an integer and that is going to pull the whole number from this cell which is just the date part of the date and time when I press Enter well see a date now if you see a number you can format that as a date and then I can select that cell double click on the fill handle and I very quickly have all the dates if a date has a time attached to it thats a decimal number so if its 12 noon it would be the date number 0.5 so we want to just get that decimal portion so well type equals the date so thats the full number including the decimal and then minus the date portion we want to subtract that full number so well use the int bracket and click on the date and when I press ENTER we get the time and again you might have to format

How to Make Sure An Inheritance Remains Separate Property place money or investments in a separate account. title assets (land, cars) in only your name. maintain detailed and complete records. make a written agreement with your partner acknowledging the status of the property.
In most cases, a person who receives an inheritance is under no obligations to share it with his or her spouse. However, there are some instances in which the inheritance must be shared. Primarily, the inheritance must be kept separate from the couples shared bank accounts.
Do You Get Divorced If You Break Up and Are Not Married? No. Unmarried couples do not go through divorce like married couples do if they split. As long as unmarried partners can agree on how to divvy up any assets, theres generally no need for lawyers or courts.
Unlike with married couples, when one unmarried partner passes, the living partner does not receive any automatic legal right to their deceased partners property or assets. In this case, with no will, the assets will likely be passed to the deceased partners family, and their estate is left in the hands of state law.
In the overwhelming majority states, an inheritance is considered separate property, belonging exclusively to the spouse who received it and it cannot be divided in a divorce. That holds true whether a spouse received the inheritance before or during the marriage.
Generally, an unmarried individual has no right to property that is in his or her partners name. In the event of a break up, the property goes to the individual who retains legal ownership. For debt, the individuals listed on the paperwork remain responsible for payment.
Each person continues to own their share, so a breakup does not change the property rights you keep what you paid for.
Its worth noting that legally separating from your spouse does not affect beneficiary arrangements. While the ex-spouse is disqualified from being a beneficiary in the case of divorce, when a couple is separated the will remains valid, and the living spouse can still inherit.
Normally your inheritance is excluded When married spouses separate, there is usually a payment made by the spouse whose property has grown the most. We calculate each persons net family property which is essentially the increase in value of their property during the marriage.
Separation agreements When common-law spouses separate, they can deal with all the issues of their separation by entering into a formal separation agreement. This agreement can set out how property will be divided, who the children will live with and how much child support and spousal support will be paid.
