hello this is resurrect from radacat in this video im going to explain how you can split different parts of the text using a delimiter if you have one delimiter repeated multiple times how you can extract all different parts of text from it instead of extracting one value at a time how this is possible to get them all separated using that lets see how it works [Music] if you have a field a text field with delimiters in it one of the best places that you can separate these is through power query so if you are in power bi desktop you can go to the home tab and access power query editor using transform data when you come to the power query editor lets say this is for example my sample input text and you can see that it is separated using that backslash character these are folder path and lets say the requirement here is that i want to separate every one of these values separately like each of these should be a separate column if that is my requirement uh then normally a split column

You can split the cell text first into multiple columns using Text to Column. Then, select these cells and copy them. Select a blank cell and right click to select Transpose. The data will then be converted into multiple rows.
Heres how: Select the range of data you want to rearrange, including any row or column labels, and either select Copy. Select the first cell where you want to paste the data, and on the Home tab, click the arrow next to Paste, and then click Transpose.
