okay heres what we have to do the first thing that we need to do is to sort everything in numerical order right now it looks like you do have everything sorted numerically so we should be okay with that if you need help in how to sort it numerically let me know all right we do have to insert a row and it has to have some sort of a title in our column so im going to insert a row i just right mouse clicked and i hit insert and im just going to call this zip code all right now that i have the row what i want to do is i want to subtotal everything based on that row and the reason that i clicked up here in the right hand corner to highlight everything i know you only have one column but sometimes you have many columns of data and you have to keep them together when youre sorting otherwise they get out of sync so i selected everything although you could have just selected column a and then on your toolbar up here youre going to go to data and then youre going to choose subtotal lets
