Pretty basic information. Just last name, first name, two columns of dates and two columns of numbers here. Now if I want to sort by a column its pretty simple to do. All I need to do is click anywhere in the table so the table is the one selected. Then if I move my cursor over the top here you could see for each column I have this little arrow here and if I click on it I get some quick actions. One of those quick actions is to Sort. As a matter of fact theres two of them. Sort Ascending and Sort Descending. So one thing I might want to do is sort by last name ascending and I can select that and it resorts the whole table now with la

We can sort arrays in ascending order using the sort() method which can be accessed from the Arrays class. The sort() method takes in the array to be sorted as a parameter. To sort an array in descending order, we used the reverseOrder() method provided by the Collections class.
To store an array, Solidity records an array element count into the next slot (let us call it a header slot). The elements themselves will be located at the address that can be calculated as keccak256 hash of the array header slot number.
Working of Insertion Sort The first element in the array is assumed to be sorted. Take the second element and store it separately in key . Now, the first two elements are sorted. Take the third element and compare it with the elements on the left of it. Similarly, place every unsorted element at its correct position.
Thus numbers always sort before uppercase letters and upper case before lower case letters. Accented characters come after that. This unusual order reflects the numerical sequence of codes used indicate different letters symbols and numbers.
Sort quickly and easily Select a single cell in the column you want to sort. On the Data tab, in the Sort Filter group, click. to perform an ascending sort (from A to Z, or smallest number to largest). Click. to perform a descending sort (from Z to A, or largest number to smallest).
Quick Sort and Insertion Sort are fastest for 10 elements or fewer, and Unique Sort is fastest for greater numbers of elements. Insertion Sort is rarely as cheap as Quick Sort and soon ramps up its gas consumption.

Solidity does not support floating point values there are many reasons but the most important is that solidity deals with real money and as we all know while division we lose some minor point values when we convert the value back to an integer due to that solidity does not support it.
