Data from picture is not on the Data menu, but you will find it on the Data TAB of the Ribbon if you have the current update to Excel installed (16.57) and you have an Office 365 subscription. As Bob said, check your version and license type by going to the Excel menu and choosing About Excel.
To do this, simply press the Print Screen button while your cursor is on the desired screen. Your screen will then be saved to your clipboard, and you can paste it into Excel by pressing CTRL+V or by right-clicking and selecting Paste. Another way to capture a screen in Excel is to use the Snipping Tool.
In your Excel spreadsheet, select the Insert tab. Click Screenshot. A drop down menu will appear with the option to take a screenshot of a window open on your desktop, or take a screen clipping of only a portion of your screen. Select the option that suits your need.
When taking Snips of tables, the app will return a TSV format. TSV stands for Tab Separated Values, and when copied to your clipboard, it can be pasted directly into Microsoft Excel or any other spreadsheet software.
To import the data, go to the Data tab From Picture Picture From File and select your picture. Tip: You can left click and drag from the pane header to undock it and make it bigger. To edit other cells, simply click on them and type.
If you want to convert Picture to Text, you need to open another application, OneNote. Copy the picture and paste it into OneNote. Click Copy Text from Picture with the right mouse button. Paste the text into Excel as needed.
Take a screenshot of the table, then click Data From Picture Picture From Clipboard. Make sure your screenshot only includes the data you want to import.
Press Ctrl + PrtScn keys. The entire screen changes to gray including the open menu. Select Mode, or in earlier versions of Windows, select the arrow next to the New button. Select the kind of snip you want, and then select the area of the screen capture that you want to capture.
