Add a new slide In the slide thumbnail pane on the left, click the slide that you want your new slide to follow. On the Home tab, click New Slide. In the New Slide dialog box, select the layout that you want for your new slide. Learn more about slide layouts. Select Add Slide.
In Normal View, in the thumbnail pane, click the slide that you want to reapply the updated layout to. Note: To select multiple slides, press and hold the Ctrl key, and then click each slide. On the Home tab, in the Slides group, click Layout, and then select the layout that you updated in Slide Master View.
To select the slide master for modification: Select View Master Slide Master from the menu bar. Click Master Pages in the Task pane. Click on the slide master you want to modify among the ones available. Make changes as described in this chapter, then click the Close Master View icon on the Master View toolbar.
The title bar is located at the top of the window (below the menu bar on Mac), and displays the file name of the current document. The default file name for a new document is Untitled X, where X is a number dependent on how many documents are open.
The sidebar window is located on the right side of the edit views of Writer, Calc, Impress, Draw, Base. It contains one or more panels, based on the current document context. Panels are organized into decks. A tab bar on the right side of the sidebar allows to switch between different decks.
Select the slide you want to change. Select Format Page from the menu bar, or right-click and choose Page Setup from the pop‑up menu to open the Page Setup dialog. Choose the Background tab. Follow the instructions in Formatting areas in Chapter 6.
Open sidebar (CTRL+F5) or select from menu View - Slide Transition . On the sidebar you would see slide transition settings.
The Menu bar is located across the top of the Writer window, just below the Title bar. When you choose one of the menus, a submenu drops down to show commands. File contains commands that apply to the entire document such as Open, Save, and Export as PDF.
To insert an existing object: Select Insert Object OLE object from the main menu. In the Insert OLE Object dialog box, select Create from file. To insert the object as a link, select the Link to file checkbox. Click Search, select the required file in the file picker window, then click Open.
Adding a new slide Right-click on the Slides pane and select New Slide from the pop-up menu (works in Normal, Outline and Notes view). Right-click on the main work area while in Slide Sorter view and select New Slide from the pop-up menu.
