No matter if you use PowerPoint for presentation, you use Photoshop for e-books or some other designs; you most likely sometimes use quotes and you would like that they appear nicer. So once in a while and not only in PowerPoint but in design and posters and photographs, you want to use quotations. You want to quote someone, you want to make the quote look good, but this always doesn’t work because a quote is text and text doesn’t look good. And I want to show you a clean simple slide, how it can be done to make it look good. Now quotes are often put into quotation marks. So at first let me copy the text so I have another text box and put quotation marks here. I will even put them separately, so I will once again copy that, select the 1st one and delete the 2nd one. Okay, I have the quotes and I will make this smaller or not as small because I want the quotation mark...

A pull quote is an excerpt that is pulled from the text and displayed on the page with special graphics that draw attention to it. Typically the font is italicized and much larger than the style used in the text. Sometimes a box is placed around the quote.
Insert an in-text citation In the text of your document, place your cursor where you want the citation to appear. A Cite button appears on the side of the citation source. Click Cite. If a # appears in the text of your document, delete it or replace it with the page number(s) for your citation.
Short Quotations Incorporate the quote into the text and enclose it within double quotation marks. Include the author, year of publication, and page number for the reference. If the author and date are introduced in the sentence as a narrative citation, then add the page number in parentheses at the end of the quote.
Block quotations start on their own line. The entire block quotation is indented 0.5 inches, the same as the indentation for a new paragraph, and is double spaced. Block quotations are not surrounded by any quotation marks. The punctuation at the end of the block quotation goes before the citation.
To quickly add a block quote in Google Docs: In your document, select the portion of text you want to turn into a block quote (on its own paragraph). With the text highlighted, press the Increase Indent button on the tool bar. The Increase Indent button will move your text to the right in 1cm intervals.
Creating a pull quote is really just a matter of creating a text frame and applying a text wrap to it. Create a text frame with the Type Tool , then enter and format the text for the quote. Switch to the Selection Tool . In the Text Wrap panel, click the Wrap Around Bounding Box button and set the desired offset.

Quick change After you type your quote mark, use CTRL+Z or hit undo. Itll change the curly back to a straight. This works in Word, G Docs, PowerPoint and G Slides!
