Working with text in PowerPoint is easy. Its similar to working in a word processing program like Microsoft Word, so the experience should be pretty familiar to you. All you have to do is insert a text box, or click an existing placeholder and your cursor will appear inside. Now you can type anything you want. You can use the space bar on your keyboard to add spaces and if you want to start a new line, just press Enter. If you make a mistake like I did, thats okay. You can press backspace or delete to fix it. You can also use your keyboards arrow keys to move the insertion point left, right, down or up. This is useful if you only need to move a few spaces or lines at a time, but you can also jump over entire words at a time. Hold the Control key and press the left or right arrow keys to jump over one word at a time. When you create a PowerPoint presentation, it is made up of a series of slides. The slides contain the information you want to communicate with your audience. This information can include text, pictures, charts, video, and sound.
Animate text or images On your computer, open a presentation in Google Slides. Click the text or image you want to animate. Click Insert. Animation.
Add page numbers to slides and notes On the Insert tab, click Header & Footer . In the Header and Footer box, on the Slide tab, select the Slide number check box, and then in the Starts at box, type the page number that you want to start with on the first slide. Click Apply to All.
Slide are like a blank document (so to speak), which presents your ideas in the form of text, images, charts and animations. The first slide is the one which introduces the topic of the presentation, this is followed by a step by step sequence which has a specific start and a conclusion (the ending).
The most common used layouts are 4 slides and 6 slides per page.
You can also add things like the date and time, and slide numbers. Click INSERT > Header & Footer. On the Slide tab, check Footer. In the box below Footer, type the text that you want, such as the presentation title. Check Date and time to add that to your slides. Check Slide number to add that to your slides.
During your presentation, the speaker notes are visible on your monitor, but aren't visible to the audience. So the Notes pane is the place to store talking points that you want to mention when you give your presentation.
