Instead, keep them guessing before you launch into all of the details. A title slide needs to set the tone, not act as an appendix or film credits. And speaking of credits, try to avoid putting your name or any of the speakers names on the title slide along with your clean-looking (hopefully) one-word title.
Create a Custom Slide Show Click the Slide Show tab. Click the Custom Slide Show button. Select Custom Shows. Click the New button. Type a new name for the slide show. Select the slides you want to be part of the presentation. Click the Add button. Click OK.
Create a hyperlinked custom show Go to Slide Show Custom Slide Show, and then select Custom Shows. In the Custom Shows dialog box, select New. Under Slides in presentation, click the slides that you want to include in the main custom show, and then click Add. Type a name in the Slide show name box, and then click OK.
Display the slideshow name on all your PowerPoint slides Click the Insert tab. Click Header Footer in the Text group. In the resulting dialog, click the Footer option and click Apply To All. You can add the footer to individual slides or a group of slides, rather than all-it just depends on your needs.
The last slide is called the closing slide, and this can be your thank you slide. But if you feel an alternative slide is more appropriate, then you can close your presentation with many other options.
Insert or remove slide numbers Go to View Normal. Go to Insert Slide Number. Select Slide Number and enter the starting slide number. Preview shows the location. To add or remove the slide number from just the title page, clear or select Dont show on title slide. Select Apply to all or Apply.
In the left pane in the Save As dialog box, click the folder or other location where you want to save your presentation. In the File name box, type a name for your presentation, or do nothing to accept the default file name, and then click Save.
Use Outline view to title a slide Click View Outline View. A slide without a title will have no text to the right of the slide number. Click to the right of the slide number. Type your new title here, or update an existing slide title. Your text will appear on the slide as you enter it.
