all right now that we know a lot more about how our presentations should be very visual and our handout should be much more wordy what are we going to do with the PowerPoint slides that weve historically had that have all the information so I have a PowerPoint pulled up that Ive been working on with a team at HCI and Im going to export this from PowerPoint into a Word document now know that depending on your version of PowerPoint in office these steps might look a little bit different so were gonna go to file save as and in the file type drop-down were gonna select outline slash RTF now RTF is a rich text file and so thats a file format that you might not be familiar with its actually a really old file format and this is just a feature that powerpoints had in it for a long time so Im gonna save this to my desktop so it has the same were gonna say text version on our file name and then outline gosh RTF as the file type so Im going to hit save and then on my desktop I now have

Step-by-Step Guide Open PowerPoint. Start a new presentation. Click on the Design tab and then click Slide Size. On the Slide Size window, scroll down and choose Banner. PowerPoint will ask if youd like to maximize the size of your content. The default Banner dimensions are 8 by 1 wide.
The font pairing (header font, body font) is an important design decision in PowerPoint. Click View Slide Master. On the Slide Master tab, click the Fonts drop-down menu. Select the font you want to use for all the slides in the presentation. Click Close Master View.
To insert headers and footers, you click INSERT, Header Footer, make sure Slide is selected, and choose your options. These include Date and time, a date and time format, and whether to show the current date or a Fixed one. You decide if you want to show Slide number and include a text Footer.
The title slide is the first slide of a presentation. It usually contains a title and a subtitle. Of all the slides in a presentation, the first slide is one of the most important, as the title slide generally sets the tone.
Click VIEW Normal, and click the slide you want to change. Click INSERT Header Footer. Click the Slide tab, make the changes you want, and click either Apply to apply the changes to the selected slides, or Apply to All to make the changes to all the slides.
Step 1: Open Google Slides and navigate to the slide where you want to put the header and footer. Step 2: Select the Text box from the toolbar. Then, click and drag on the slide to create two text boxes. Step 3: Enter content for the header and footer now.
