From the Text group, click [Quick Parts] Select Field Under Field names, select FileName. In the Field properties section, select a format. In the Field options section, check Add path to filename. The file name will now appear in the header or footer.
Go to Insert Header or Footer. Select Edit Header or Edit Footer. Select Quick Parts, and select Field. In the Field names list, choose the field you want (such as FileName, Date, Author, or Title), choose the format you want in the Field properties section.
Solution: If you cant directly edit footer text, its probably the case that the footer placeholder has been turned off in Slide Master view. To change that situation, you can open Slide Master view and make changes there, as described below. On the View tab, select Slide Master.
On the status bar, click the Page Layout View button. Select the header or footer text you want to change. On the Home tab in the Font group, set the formatting options that you want to apply to the header / footer. When youre done, click the Normal view button on the status bar.
Add page numbers On the Insert tab, click Header Footer. Excel automatically changes to Page Layout view. On Header Footer tab, click either the Header or Footer, and then select the page number format you want. Header page numbers appear at the top of the printed page, and footer page numbers appear at the bottom.
Press SCROLL LOCK, and then hold down CTRL while you press the LEFT ARROW or RIGHT ARROW key. Press SCROLL LOCK, and then simultaneously hold down CTRL and an arrow key to quickly move through large areas of your worksheet. Note: When SCROLL LOCK is on, Scroll Lock is displayed on the status bar in Excel.
To make your printed Excel documents look more stylish and professional, you can include a header or footer on each page of your worksheet. Generally, headers and footers contain basic information about the spreadsheet such as page number, current date, workbook name, file path, etc.
In the active worksheet press Alt + F11 to open the Visual Basic Editor (VBE). If we prefer using the Excel Ribbon we can click Developer Code Visual Basic. In the Project Window, right-click the object of the worksheet in which we want to insert the custom date format.
You can print file name on workbook by defining file name in the footer. Click on print setup -- Header/Footer -- Custom Footer -- Click file name.
