We will be sharing the link to the post in the description section. Data can be converted from an Excel sheet into PowerPoint slides using two methods. The first one is to simply copy paste the data. Here, we have a test Excel file. Let us select the data, right click on the selection, and select copy. Then, we would go to the PowerPoint slide and right click and select paste; and then we can change the size and location of the Excel sheet. This was easy. Alternatively, we could also insert the Excel sheet as a link. This could be done as follows. Go to the insert tab. In the insert tab, check for the text section. CSV files, do the following: Open a . CSV document in Microsoft Excel. Click File. Select Save As Select File Type as CSV UTF-8 (Comma delimited) (. csv). Click Save. If prompted, choose Keep Current Format.
How to convert Excel file to CSV In your workbook, switch to the target worksheet as only the active sheet will be converted. On the File tab, click Save As. In the Save As dialog box, pick the desired CSV format from the Save as type drop-down menu, On Windows, youd choose either CSV (Comma delimited) or CSV UTF-8.
CSV files are plain text files and therefore can not contain any information about format nor data structure.
To avoid formatting change on CSV, you first need to set data format manually. Activate the Insert tab in the Ribbon. Click From Text/CSV in the Get Transform Data section. Select your file. Move to the Step 3 by Next. In the 3rd step, select the columns where youd like to keep the formatting.
To convert Excel to CSV file without losing data, first, navigate to File and click on Save As. From the Save As type dropdown, select CSV UTF-8(Comma Delimited). Click on Save. This saves the CSV file without losing any characters.
Go to File Save As. Click Browse. In the Save As dialog box, under Save as type box, choose the text file format for the worksheet; for example, click Text (Tab delimited) or CSV (Comma delimited).
