This means you can reply to one another in Excel, and you can keep track of it, and they still kept the existing comment feature though, thankfully. But this resulted in a change in feature names. So, what me and you know as an Excel comment is gonna be called an Excel note. The new comments have a Reply box, which is actually another great feature of Office 365. Go to Developer Tab –> Insert –> Scroll Bar (Form Control). If you can't find the developer tab in the ribbon, it is because it has not been enabled. By default, it's hidden in Excel. You first need to add the developer tab in the ribbon.

Then scroll down to the Display section in the right side of the window and select the option called "Indicators only, and comments on hover".
