Lets say for instance, you have to sign a document. Well, today you could print out that document, then you could sign it, then you could scan it in again, and then you could send it off. But thats a lot of work. It wastes paper and you need to have a printer. I dont even have a printer. Today Im going to show you how you could create an electronic signature, two different ways. One of them is using your phone where you sign your signature on the phone, and then well bring that onto our PC, so itll be digital all the way. The second technique, were going to sign our name, take a high quality photo of it, and then well bring that into the PC. So, Ill show you those two different ways. Email Signature Sizes for Print If a company needs to print email signatures, the measurements must be between the standard size of 150 to 200 600 pixels and 3.97cm 15.88cm, with the graphics having a resolution of 72 DPI.
Theres no set rule on how big or small an email signature should be. That said, 300 x 600 pixels is widely considered to be a good size.
If you want to use colour to add contrast to your email, size your email signature banner between 600-700px to fill the width of an email. There are fewer restrictions on your email signature banners height; a typical height used is between 150-200px.
Resizing an existing electronic signature file or logo file to be in the appropriate dimensions: Open Microsoft Paint (do not open the signature or logo file) Click the Resize button. Mark the option to resize the blank area by pixels and unmark the check box to Maintain aspect ratio

If you have an image in your signature that has a DPI of, lets say, 300, the image will probably look very big. This happens because Microsoft Outlook and Apple Mail scale images using the DPI value. To fix this, you will need to use an image processing tool such as Photoshop to change the images DPI setting.
