hello and welcome to 2 minute design im daig and today were going to talk about image size and resolution [Music] this is a pixel these are 10 pixels and these are 100 pixels so our image is going to be 10 pixels wide by 10 pixels high and these are called pixel dimensions now lets say that this is one inch then here we have 10 pixels per inch this is called resolution or pixel density if you want to create a circle we would change the color of these pixels to have a smoother circle we need a higher resolution lets try 20 pixels per inch now we have a much smoother result but were still working within 1 inch here what if we want to work with 2 inches if we just increase the size of our image its still going to be the same because the resolution is now smaller we now have 5 pixels per inch instead of 10 pixels per inch and the pixel dimensions are still the same 10 pixels by 10 pixels so we just learned something here increasing the image size does not increase its resolution or

Recommended screen resolution for web design for desktop Theres a natural reason to use 1440px, since its the width of a MacBook Pro 15 screen, counted in CSS pixels (its actually 2880x1800px), and it covers most PC laptop screen sizes as well.
1920x1080 FHD (Full HD) / 1080p. 2560x1440 QHD/WQHD (Quad HD) / 1440p.
For television and consumer media, 1920 1080 is the most common 2K resolution, but this is normally referred to as 1080p.
1920x1080 - Full HD 1080p 1920x1080 is one of the most popular monitor resolutions that people use. This is due to the fact that you are able to have great, clear image quality at this resolution and it doesnt require a top tier computer to power.
2K displays are those whose width falls in the 2,000-pixel range. More often than not, youll find 2K monitors with a display resolution of 2560x1440, thats why its often shortened to 1440p. However, this resolution is officially considered Quad HD (QHD). As such, many monitors claim their resolution as 2K QHD.
1440p is a family of video display resolutions that have a vertical resolution of 1440 pixels. The p stands for progressive scan, i.e. non-interlaced. The 1440 pixel vertical resolution is double the vertical resolution of 720p, and one-third (about 33.3%) more than 1080p.
WXGA (1280x800 pixels, 16:10 aspect ratio): WXGA is the widescreen version of XGA delivering the same vertical resolution but providing 20% more horizontal resolution. This has become a common resolution for notebook computers and smartphone.
It is an established fact that the standard definition of an HD is 1280720 so, a 1280800 resolution display is considered a NON-STANDARD HD because of the pixel spill of 80 pixels. A 1280800 will display the same quality of pictures as a 720p but with just a little black line above and below the display.
Single DIN stereo slots are 2 height by 8 width, 1.5 DIN measure 3 height by 8 width. Most aftermarket car radios will slide directly into the single DIN slot without an adapter kit.
1440p is also called QHD (quad high definition) or WQHD (wide quad high definition) and is a display resolution that measures 2560 x 1440 pixels. This resolution is also commonly referred to as 2K (opens in new tab).
