Hi there, Alex Kidman from Finder.com.au talking to you today about the difference between a prepaid and a contract mobile phone plan. Now in both cases, youre actually going to be signing up for a mobile phone contract. Theres still a certain amount of paperwork to do, youve got to identify yourself, and you are committing to a certain quantity of spend. The key difference between these two types of contract however, is in the way that you pay. Typically, these days youll get unlimited calls and texts, but youll also get a data quota. Once youve used that data quota up on a prepaid plan, thats it, no more data, unless you buy some more. On a contract plan, however, you can go into excess usage. And this will typically attract a price of $10 per gigabyte or part thereof you use, over whatever the quota on your plan is. Now, there are benefits to both arrangement. Obviously prepaid allows you to control your mobile spend more discretely, because you can never spend over what you

Compared to a pay-as-you-go deal, youll get a generous amount of data, calls and texts. Plus, many networks like to throw in perks and rewards with a phone contract. If you cant stomach the cost of buying a handset outright, a pay monthly phone contract is your best bet.
Smartphones with screen sizes larger than 6.5 inches are considered large screen phones.
The screen size. An important part of the screen is the size. Small phones: 5.8 inches (14.7cm) or smaller. A small phone always fits easily in your hand or pocket. Average phones: 5.8 to 6.2 inches (14.7 to 15.7cm) Large phones: 6.2 to 6.4 inches (15.7 to 16.3cm) Very large phones: 6.4 inches (16.3cm) and larger.
A cell phone contract is a commitment between a phone carrier and customer where the customer pays a single monthly fee for a fixed period of time (usually one-year or two-years). Most people enter cell phone contracts when they want to get a more expensive phone and pay it off over a longer period of time.
If your cell carrier changes the terms of the contract you signed, you can cancel your contract without paying any early termination fees. Many states require cell phone companies to give customers advance notice of contract changes which could increase the cost or extend the length of the contract.
You just pay for it in monthly instalments throughout your contract (usually 12 or 24 months), but you dont own the phone until your contract has ended.
Its settled: 6.1 inches is the ideal smartphone screen size.
Contact your mobile phone provider to tell them you want to cancel your contract. You can either call or send a free text, or email them. If youre still within contract, youll need to pay any exit fees or buy-out the remainder of your contract, before you can leave.
