4 x 6 inches. This is perhaps the most common photo size in print. This size of photo fits perfectly into a 3:2 aspect ratio. If you take a photo using this ratio, you shouldnt have to crop out any of the image to make it fit. This size is ideal for framed photos, greetings cards and postcards.
File Sharing Service. Using a file-sharing service is a straightforward way to give your clients access to your gallery of photos. File-sharing services let you create a link you send to your clients that will get them to their photos even if they are not the most technologically sophisticated.
In general, if you are e-mailing the pictures to friends who will view them on a computer screen, you will want to send them pictures in the jpeg format at 640 x 480 pixels. If you are printing the pictures, you need about 150 pixels per inch of print size.
The size should be more than 200 x 200 pixels. It should also be in jpg format with at least 72 dots per inch (dpi).
Common aspect ratio sizes. 1:1 aspect ratio. Using a 1:1 aspect ratio means youre shooting a square image, as both sides are the same width and height. 3:2 aspect ratio. Another common aspect ratio is 3:2, which is used across much of film and digital photography. 4:3 aspect ratio. 16:9 aspect ratio.
File size: This is the amount of space that the image file takes up on your memory card, or internal memory if your camera has one. It is measured in megabytes. The actual file size depends on the image size and image quality settings selected on the camera.
Aspect Ratio 2:3 Chances are good, if you are delivering images to clients and have not changed the crop aspect ratio in your camera or post-processing, your images will be found in a 2:3 ratio.
Id suggest you give them full size photos. Currently, when I export my photos in Lightroom to deliver to a client, I do not resize the photos down, I set quality to 100, and set the resolution to 300 ppi (in case they want to print the photos).
